Life's Brutality

This was done as a visual metaphor for how brutal life can be, and to put my feelings on "paper" so to speak.  In this case canvasboard.  I wanted a representation that would allow me to still be hopeful, and to emphasize that hope that I was clinging to.  So that's why the tree is still green and in it's summer fulliage despite winter's touch
